Belly Watch :)

By Jen, 21 June, 2006, No Comment

I know that it was just a few weeks ago that I posted the last photo… but it feels and looks like the belly is growing enough to be worthy of another photo… so here is me and my babies at 20 weeks (Babies = the dog and the bump… no twins here!)!

New President

By Jen, 5 June, 2006, No Comment

As many of you may know from newspapers and reports that you have seen, Alan Garcia has been elected as Peru’s next president. This result should allow us to live and work here for the next years to come. Please continue to pray for Peru’s political stability as many people in the provinces are not happy with this election as they were in favor of Ollanta Humala.

Love Works Team

We have just spent the last week and a half with a team from Point Loma Nazarene University who were in Peru for two and a half weeks working with churches along the Northern Coast in and around the towns of Chiclayo and Puira. They painted, built walls, constructed some roofing, lead two vacation bible schools for well over 300 kids, spoke in Churches, and played many a game of football/basketball and volleyball against the Peruvian church and youth group teams. They shared their lives wonderfuly with the Peruvian church and were a great witness to those who came into contact with them. We had a GREAT week with them getting away from Lima and our more regular work here and sharing in what they were doing. Here is a picture of the team taken yesterday during their final day here in Lima before returning home last night.
