As I work on the monthly translations for the Jesus Film Ministry I often wonder if such an office based role that I find myself in right now can really give me the opportunity to minister and really be a missionary?! Well, just a few minutes ago I was reminded that the answer was yes! The testimony below reminded me not only of the privilege that we have to serve and support the Peruvians as THEY carry out the ministry, but also of my opportunity to witness this and share it with you. I hope that this testimony below speaks to your heart as it did to mine!
“My name is Gustavo Rojas Pereda and I am 17 years old. I live in the city of Trujillo. I accepted Christ a year ago thanks to the Jesus Film Ministry. Since then I have shared the gospel with others in evangelism. For the last few months I have been visiting the “Center of Rehabilitation of Drug Addicts†and I asked for the help of the Jesus Film ministry to show the film in the center. It was marvelous to see the people give their lives to Christ and become reconciled to Him… with tears like children they repented. I have started a discipleship group with two of the young men. I believe that the Jesus film is a wonderful means of ministry to help people find their Savior, Jesus Christ. It helped me today to see that even people lost in the abyss of drug addiction can be saved! “
