Well, we are here in Yakima, WA and it is apparently going to drop to 5 degrees Fahrenheit tonight. Thankfully we have all just about adjusted to the cold weather here in the North! Jonathan experienced his second snow storm on Saturday in Spokane. We all had a lot of fun waking up to a winter wonderland on Sunday morning!
We are enjoying this our second district tour on the Northwest District in the USA. Last week we were on the Washington Pacific District and had a lot of fun speaking in 10 different churches. We especially enjoyed the churches that had both their English speaking and Spanish speaking congregations involved… we have found that we miss Peru and our Latino friends a lot, thus spending time with Latinos helps us feel at home!! For the next week we will be traveling around Washington and Idaho before flying back to the east coast.
Jonathan started off our time of home assignment being very clingy to mummy and quite wary of strangers. Actually… the only times that he seemed to be himself were when we were around Latinos – he seemed to perk right up!! He is now starting to do much better and seems to be enjoying meeting new people (no matter what language they speak!) and the endless new toys that he gets to explore as he goes from church nursery to church nursery!
