So far the month of August has been a busy one for us. For those of you who have read our newsletter you will know that we are moving to Kosovo around the 12th September. We started the month with a trip to Suhareka where we have a rented apartment for volunteers. Since we will be moving to Prishtina it was our task to clear out and stop renting the apartment in Suhareka. The 4 rooms were packed full of “stuff”. We sorted and cleaned for the best part of 5 days with the help of the Ronne family who are currently volunteering here in Tirane. We have inherited a lot of nice furniture and a brand new Ikea wok which made working in the 100 degree heat worth the effort! We finalized the contract on our house in Prishtina. We will be living right in the center of the small city, so we will be able to walk almost everywhere that we need to. We were able to explore the city a little more, spend time in the national park, spend some great time with the believers and find a restaurant that sells DR PEPPER and MOUNTAIN DEW!! The last week or so we have been working on packing and Language study. This coming week is very busy, the Sunburg family are coming to town to speak at the district family camp and we are hosting some of the Kosvar-Albanians before the camp begins on Monday. Then (and don’t tell Jonny but…) Grandma and Grandpa Weatherill are coming for a long weekend to enjoy some of the Albanian summer. Lets hope that they can cope with the 100 degree temperatures that we have been having this last week!!!
Here we are having a picnic lunch whilst we worked in the Suhareka Apartment!
